Federal Rule Amendments Effective December 1, 2025

On December 1, 2025, several Federal Rule amendments take effect. These amendments include:

  • Amendments to Federal Rules of Bankruptcy Procedure 3002.1 and 8006; amendments to Official Bankruptcy Form 410S-1, Notice of Mortgage Payment Change; and the following new Official Bankruptcy Forms:
    • 410C13-M1, Motion Under Rule 3002.1(f)(1) to Determine the Status of the Mortgage Claim
    • 410C13-M1R, Response to [Trustee’s/Debtor’s] Motion Under Rule 3002.1(f)(1) to Determine the Status of the Mortgage Claim
    • 410C13-N, Trustee’s Notice of Disbursements Made
    • 410C13-NR, Response to Trustee’s Notice of Disbursements Made
    • 410C13-M2, Motion Under Rule 3002.1(g)(4) to Determine Final Cure and Payment of Mortgage Claim
    • 410C13-M2R, Response to [Trustee’s/Debtor’s] Motion Under Rule 3002.1(g)(4) to Determine Final Cure and Payment of the Mortgage Claim
  • Amendments to the Federal Rules of Appellate Procedure 6 and 39.
  • Amendments to the Federal Rules of Civil Procedure 16, 26, and new Rule 16.1.

The U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Minnesota has created new events to incorporate the amendments to Fed. R. Bankr. P. 3002.1, which may be found in ECF under the Bankruptcy > Claim events > 3002.1 Rule Supplements menus. These new events have also been added to the ECF Cheat Sheet.
