The Bankruptcy Advice Clinics for the Twin Cities area are mainly virtual, with one in-person clinic each month in Saint Paul. The Volunteer Lawyers Network (VLN) is offering free legal advice over the phone by appointment only. Please call the VLN Intake Line at 612-752-6677 to obtain an appointment.

An in-person bankruptcy advice clinic is held on the second Thursday of each month at the Warren E. Burger Federal Building and United States Courthouse, 316 North Robert Street starting at 11:00am. Clinic timelines:

11:00 a.m. – Clinic begins
12:00 p.m. – Deadline for clinic participants to check-in
12:30 p.m. – Latest a consultation can begin
1:00 p.m. – Clinic ends

The in-person clinic is "first come, first served," and the final consultation must start by 12:30pm. Please note that if no clients are checked in by 12:00 p.m., or if all the checked in clients have had their consultation, the volunteer attorney will leave early. As such, those interested in attending the in-person clinic must check-in by 12:00 p.m. The clinic is held on the second floor of the courthouse.
