****Please note the change in hearing notices. (Updated 7/23/2025) ****

  1. Non-Chapter 13 Calendar Hearings: All initial hearings on motions and applications in front of Judge Fisher must be noticed as telephonic, unless otherwise instructed by the Court, as noted below. No evidence will be taken at the initial hearing. Use the language below for noticing.

The Court will hold a hearing on this [motion or application] at [time and date of hearing]. The hearing will be conducted telephonically.  Please contact Judge Fisher's Courtroom Deputy by email at mnb_fisher_hearings@mnb.uscourts.gov or by telephone at 651-848-1061 to obtain the dial-in information. Dial-in instructions for telephonic hearings will also be displayed the day prior to the hearing on Judge Fisher’s public calendar here: https://www.mnb.uscourts.gov/judges-calendars. Any person wanting to appear in person must contact Judge Fisher's Courtroom Deputy at 651-848-1061 at least 48 hours prior to the hearing.

  2. Chapter 13 Calendar Hearings: Starting with the July 2025 Chapter 13 calendars, the Court is imposing a strict deadline to submit changes to the Chapter 13 calendar. All requests for continuances, withdrawals of motions or objections, or other actions that would result in a change to the Chapter 13 calendar must be filed in CM/ECF by 2:00 p.m. the day before the calendar.

Any request filed after 2:00 p.m. will not be processed and will remain on the calendar and be called. Unless otherwise advised by the presiding judge, the proceeding will be held in-person.

To determine if your proceeding will be held in-person, telephonically, proceed by default, or will not be called, click on the link for the presiding judge’s public calendar on the court’s website at: https://www.mnb.uscourts.gov/judges-calendars. Note, because changes may be filed through 2:00 p.m. the day before a Chapter 13 Calendar, updates to the public calendar will be processed throughout the afternoon and may not be available until 7:00 p.m. the day before the hearing.

All proceedings in Judge Fisher’s Duluth (Division 5) and Fergus Falls (Division 6) cases may be set on his Minneapolis calendar.

You may calendar Applications for Compensation and Motions for Relief from the Automatic Stay using the weekly presets on his Minneapolis calendar. To schedule any other type of proceeding, please send your request to MNB_Fisher_hearings@mnb.uscourts.gov or contact Judge Fisher’s Courtroom Deputy at 651‐848‐1061. Trustees and the U.S. Trustee may calendar their motions using the appropriate preset.

  3. Any moving party who wants an in‐person hearing in Duluth or Fergus Falls on an initial hearing must contact the Courtroom Deputy to request a hearing date prior to filing the motion. Any responding party must also contact the Courtroom Deputy by the date the response is due if the responding party wants an in‐person hearing. The Court will respond as appropriate.

PLEASE NOTE, IF APPROPRIATE, TRIALS AND EVIDENTIARY MATTERS FOR DULUTH (DIVISION 5) AND FERGUS FALLS (DIVISION 6) CASES WILL BE HELD IN PERSON IN THE DULUTH OR FERGUS FALLS COURTHOUSE, UNLESS THE COURT ORDERS A DIFFERENT LOCATION.
