Debtor Electronic Bankruptcy Notice option available beginning March 7

Beginning March 7, 2016, both pro se AND represented debtors in cases filed with the United States Bankruptcy Court for the District of Minnesota may elect to receive email notification of court orders and court-generated notices, rather than receiving paper orders and notices through the U.S. Mail. This service, called Debtor electronic Bankruptcy Noticing (DeBN), is a free and optional service debtors can start or stop at any time by filing the appropriate form with the clerk's office. Click here   for the DeBN form, general information, filing instructions, and FAQs.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Trustees and Attorneys for creditors and other parties in bankruptcy cases must continue to serve all debtors, even those who elect DeBN, as required by local and national rules. DeBN does not authorize attorneys to serve debtors by email; rather, DeBN allows debtors to receive ONLY COURT-CREATED documents electronically.
