Are debtors' and creditors' original signatures required on electronically filed documents?

Answer:

Debtors' and creditors' original signatures are required on electronically filed documents.  The signature pages of affidavits, verifications and other similar authorizations should be scanned and included in the appropriate PDF file. Signature declarations should be signed and included with the petition, schedules and statements and all case completions.

"Pen-in-hand" signatures are not required for CM/ECF registered attorneys and members of their staff. See Local Rule 9011-4 for details.
