CM/ECF Technical Filing Requirements
| 1. | Internet Service Provider (ISP) |
| 2. | Windows based petition or word processing software. |
| 3. | Adobe Acrobat version 5.0 or higher (PDF Writer) to create a portable document format (PDF) file. |
| 4. | Internet Explorer 6.0 or higher and Mozolla Firefox 2.0. These are the only browsers supported by the most recent version of Pay.gov, the U.S. Treasury’s credit card interface system. NOTE: Your browser must be java-enabled for ECF to function correctly. DO NOT use the America On-Line (AOL). |
| 5. | DSL line or cable modem are highly recommended. |
| 6. | Software that will convert electronic documents to PDF and merge converted PDF and scanned documents into a single PDF file. |
| 7. | Adobe Acrobat Reader to view PDF documents. |
| 8. | A scanner for documents not stored in a word processed format. This includes exhibits or signature pages for anyone other than the filing attorney or the attorney’s staff. |
| 9. | Scanner should be set at 300 dpi, black and white, no color images or grayscale, 8 1/2 by 11 paper size. A single scanned page should be under 150,000 bytes. Any single document submitted to CM/ECF can be no larger than 1.5 megabytes (MB) and a maximum of 25 pages. Any attachments should be scanned separately in bundles of 25 pages or less. Use OCR or Editable Text. Do not use a graphic format such as bitmap or jpeg (*.bmp or *.jpeg). |
